【著者について】
ジム・リトルは、1967年にカリフォルニア大学デービス校で美術学修士号（MA）を取得後、フリーランスの写真家および教育者として長年にわたり充実したキャリアを築きました。
教職に携わる中で、園芸の才能とプルメリアへの情熱を生かし、アメリカ本土および海外数カ国へのプルメリア輸出事業を開始。
これまでカリフォルニア州やハワイ州で教鞭を執り、プナホウ校やハワイ大学でも教えてきました。
現在は教育の現場を離れ、ハワイで自身のプルメリア農園兼ナーセリーを経営しながら活動を続けています。
『Growing Plumerias in Hawai'i and Around the World（ハワイおよび世界各地でのプルメリアの栽培）』は、彼の初の著書です。

【ABOUT THE AUTHOR】
After receiving an MA degree in art from the University of California at Davis in 1967, Jim Little enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a freelance photographer and teacher. During his teaching career, he turned his green thumb and passion for plumerias into a business exporting plumeria plants to the U.S. mainland and selected international countries. He has taught in California and Hawai'i, including Punahou School and the University of Hawai'i. Now retired from academia, Little continues to operate his plumeria nursery and farm in Hawai'i. Growing Plumerias in Hawai'i and Around the World is his first book.
