本作は1969年1月に行なわれた通称ゲット・バック・セッションから、その全てをステレオで収録したアイテム！アップルがマルチトラック収録したもの以外はすべてモノラルでしたが、本作ではすべてステレオで収録しています。本品はオリジナル編纂者であるヨーロッパの有名コレクターから個人的にテープを借り受け、さらに彼の指示の元で再編集を施してひとつの作品として磨きをかけた『River Rhine Tapes』ディレクターズ・カットと言えるもので、内容はまさにベスト・オブ・ゲット・バック・セッション！有名な「Jelous Guy」の元ヴァージョンである「Child Of Nature」もこのセッションで既に演奏され、ここに収録されています。また、かつての自分たちの曲をセルフカヴァーした「The Inner Light」(ジョンが歌っています)、「You Can’t Do That」「Martha My Dear」、オールディーズのカヴァー「Don't Be Cruel」「Three Cool Cats」など、それら全てが当然のようにステレオでお楽しみ頂けます。
